Le dialogue ici proposé avec l’artiste française Louise Gügi aborde la figure des invertébrés dans ses travaux textiles et ses performances. Elle est à la fois une forme plastique et expressive et à la fois un symbole politique et social. L’artiste revient sur l’apparition du motif de la larve dans ses travaux et installations lors des expositions Cyclocirqo au Safran (Amiens) et Terra Extröngæ au centre d’art Le Radar (Bayeux) et sur les influences à la fois théoriques (Donna Haraway) et culturelles (Terry Gilliam) qui l’ont amenée à réfléchir « avec » les invertébrés.

The dialogue proposed here with French artist Louise Gügi addresses the figure of the invertebrate in her textile and performance works. It is both a plastic and expressive form, as well as a political and societal symbol. The artist looks back on the appearance of the larva motif in her work and installations during the exhibitions Cyclocirqo at Le Safran (Amiens) and Terra Extröngæ at the art center Le Radar (Bayeux), and on the influences, both theoretical (Donna Haraway) and cultural (Terry Gilliam), that led her to think “with” invertebrates.
